Although the morning of this past year's Lost Horse Boulder Fest started off with heavy rain, soaking the tops of the boulders, the weather eventually cooperated and climbs dried off just enough for the climbers. The fall weather in Bitterroot is typically a fickle beast, but as the saying goes in the mountains, "if you don't like the weather, just wait around for 10 minutes." Luckily, that saying held true for us that day, although we had to wait for a few hours instead of 10 minutes.
Noah Jackson, a film maker from western Montana, was also present at the fest. Noah shot some footage for a short film about the climbing community in the area and how the Lost Horse Boulder Fest brings climbers young and old together to celebrate each other and our local climbing opportunities.
